A leading and highly industralized agricultural firm located in yenagoa, Bayelsa state is looking for a well experienced chartered accountant. The firm has agricultural ties with the bayelsa state government and is presently into large scale food subsidy production. The candidate will be responsible for managing and ensuring accounting best practices as well as maintain financially stable processes within the company.
RESPONBIBILITIES:
• Assist in managing Financial Resources of the Company.
• Preparing and processing of invoices and purchase orders for contracts.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly management account in comparison with budget
• Assist in managing cash flow projection statements
• Maintaining and Reconciliation of receivables and payables
• Ensure timely and accurate payment by clients.
• Ensure proper checks and balance of accounts
• Preparation of Staff salary
• Verification of bank charges
• Bank reconcilations
• Ensuring prompt remittances/payment of tax liabilities and other deductions from monthly payroll to the respective agencies of Government/ beneficiaries – PAYE, WHT, VAT, NSITF, and Pension.
• Remittance of payments to banks
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BSc. in Accounting, Economics, Statistics or any relevant field
. Candidate must be a chartered accountant ICAN (ACCA) or ACA
• Minimum of 8years experience in a reputable firm(experience in an agricultural firm will be of added advantage.
. Core experience in tax, Audit and cost accounting maxing a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position
. Candidate must be resident in yenagoa or ready to relocate within the minimum shortest time.
• Proficient in accounting software like Peachtree, sage, quick books etc
• Good understanding of key financial processes and analysis, treasury operations, account payables, account receivables and financial reporting.

• Excellent networking and relationship building skills.

• Accuracy of general ledger records.
• Accuracy of operating expenses report.
• Accuracy in posting of invoices
