RESPONSIBILITIES OF CAKE DECORATION
Prepare non-prepared tart mixtures and mixes as required.
Modify drafts or thermostats to adjust temperature of oven
Supervise efficient pouring of meringue and cream filling and tops filling into pie shells,
Assist other in decoration of cakes and pastries
Manage all mixing of colors for icings and make sugar ornaments.

Position Description
Professionals in this industry work with customers in order to design and decorate a variety of cakes for various occasions by preparing icing and other ingredients, baking cakes in preparation for decoration, and overseeing the overall operation of the kitchen or bakery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Cake Decorator
•Packages, labels, and prices pre-made cakes.
•Maintains, cleans, and polishes the refrigerator showcase for pre-made cakes.
•Keeps display refrigerator showcase fully stocked.
•Keeps up to date with the latest trends in both flavors and aesthetic appeal.

•Is numerate and able to perform simple math problems to follow recipes.
•Demonstrates artistic ability.
•Exhibits excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
•Executes elaborate, attractive pastry designs.

•Demonstrates above average manual dexterity; has a steady hand.
Education and Experience
For this position, a high school diploma or equivalent degree is required.
Work Environment
