RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manager, Department Admin. provides general office management, including supervising the department staff .
* This position assists the department with forecasting and budgeting salary and non-salary expenditures during the annual budgeting process
* Responsible for general monitoring of expenditures and top-level approval for certain departmental expense reimbursements.
*The Admin Manager ensures efficient use of resources and proper training of staff, including authorization, approval, and/or consultation for HR activities related to hiring, performance management, general compliance, and resolution of basic personnel issues.
* Additional responsibilities include: assisting the department chair with gathering critical data for decision-making;
* processing forms related to hiring, pay, and visitors’ travel and expenses; creating facilities requisitions, requesting work estimates, and preparing space surveys; and completing various reports and documents that affect the reputation of the department.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
* Bachelor of Business Administration, with 5 or more years of experience;
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation, in order to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people;
- The ability to effectively lead staff, provide accurate and ongoing feedback, and have crucial conversations, when necessary;
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality;
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office programs
